In this course students work on the basic building blocks of language learning. This involves grammatical stuctures from Levels 1 to 3 of the Japanese curriculum, along with learning how to read and write hiragana, katakana and some kanji. Topics include introducing yourself, family and pets, birthdays, food, sports, weekend activities and travel.
This is an introductory class to the Japanese language. Students will learn basic language skills include how to introduce themselves, talk about their pets, likes and dislikes, school and food. Students will also learn about the 3 different types of script and begin to learn how to read and write hiragana.
This course focuses on geography, travel and tourism, and Japan at work. Students wil learn grammatical structures from Level 8 of the Japanese curriculum as well as an additional 75 kanji, bringing the number of kanji that they know to 200.
In this course students will expand and consolidate their knowledge of Japanese. We will be covering levels 3 to 6 of the Japanese curriculum. Students will also be learning 50 kanji
This year we will be expanding upon the grammar and kanji used in Year 11. We will be covering 4 main topics: Living in Japan, Eating and Drinking, Japanese Schools, and Leisure Activities
