Felix Borthwick - our Outstanding Scholar
The class of 2011 delivered fantastic NCEA results and 26 scholarships, 3 of which were outstanding. Felix Borthwick gained an 'Outstanding Scholar' award for which he is eligible for $5000 for 3 years towards study in New Zealand. The Dominion Post featured Felix in their story about Wellington Top Scholars last Saturday 18 February. Read more here.

Renee Andrew WOWs us all - Amanda Miller ( presenter of WOW ) saw Renee's Yr 13 project work on display at the Trelise Cooper store and will now be wearing it on Friday night while presenting the WoW awards. Read more from the stuff website here.
Play It Strange School of the Year - Wellington High School has been awarded this prize from the Lion Foundation Songwriting Competition for 2011 jointly with Takapuna Grammar School and Manurewa High School. We had four finalists this year: Ash Graham, Ruby Moyes, Harriet Hill, and Imogen Holmstead-Scott.
'Burning up the city's music charts' - Ash Graham's music is making waves on the local and international music scene. Read more here

Zach Sim (13WNC) on TV3 - Zach Sim has combined with another student to create a Vex robot and compete at the world championship Vex Robotics competition in Florida next month. Read more here.
